OBITUARY
Maria Guadalupe Escalante, age 84, of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 in Round Rock, Tx. Maria Guadalupe was born on October 16, 1936 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Consuelo Lopez and Fortino Yañez. Maria Guadalupe is preceded in death by her mother Consuelo Lopez, her father Fortino Yañez, her husband Librado Escalante, her three sons Asunción Escalante, Francisco Escalante and Benjamin Escalante, and three grandkids Domingo Mancera, Guadalupe Mancero and Javier Escalante.

Maria Guadalupe is survived by four sons: Aurelio Escalante (wife Ignacia) of Weatherford, Tx, Misael Escalante (wife Cynthia) of Denver City, Tx, Fortino Escalante (wife Margartia) of Guanajuato, Mexico, and Isidro Escalante (wife Isidra) of Austin, Tx; and five daughters: Maria Bernabe Escalante Mancera (husband Domingo) of Guanajuato, Mexico, Alicia Escalante Cervantes (husband Domingo) of Guanajuato, Mexico, Sara Escalante Servin (husband Victor) of Round Rock, Tx, Carmen Escalante Loma (husband Cerafin) of Austin, Tx, and Irma Escalante Lopez (husband Benito) of Dripping Springs, Tx; three brothers Juan Yañez, Francisco Yañez and Antonio Yañez all of Denver City, Tx and two sisters Antonia Barrientos of Denver City, Tx and Marcelina Yañez of Guanajuato, Mexico. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Maria Guadalupe's favorite times were when her family came together and she loved to sing and share her life stories. She will be tremendously missed by all.

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, January 26,2021 at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin, Tx. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Austin, Tx. Mass will be officiated byFriar Florencio Rodriguez, T.O.R. Maria Guadalupe will then be escorted to Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetary in Pflugerville, Tx to be laid to rest.
