Steven J. "Pete" Peters, age 56, of Camp Point, died Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 8:45 am in Timber Point Health Care Center.
Pete was born October 7, 1964 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of James B. and Norma Jean Webb Peters. He was married to Tracey Lynn Christy. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2009.
Pete was a 1982 graduate of Quincy High School. He had been employed as a drywall finisher and taper. In his spare time he loved to go fishing and hunting.
Survivors include: his father, James B. Peters of Quincy; three sisters, Cindy (Jim) Winston of Quincy; Peggy (Rick) Stark of Quincy; and Laurie (Wayne) Steinkamp of Payson, IL; two brothers: Daniel J. (fiancée, Teri Lewis) Peters of Quincy, IL and Thomas A. (Shelly Kramer) Peters of Florida, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his mother.
Services: Pete has been cremated. No services are planned at this time.
