Sharen Lea Fultner
December 2, 1936 - January 15, 2021

Sharen L. Fultner, 84, of Andrew, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue, Iowa.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held at the Andrew, Iowa Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends celebrating Sharen's life will be held at the Andrew Community Park with a time to be announced on May 21, 2021. Cremation has taken place. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Sharen Lea Newcomb was born on December 2, 1936 in Burlington, Iowa, to Fred and Ruth (Timmerman) Newcomb. She was a graduate of Olin High School and then received her nursing degree, becoming a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse at Keystone, Iowa and later in Maquoketa until retirement.

Sharen married John Junior Fultner on May 21, 1957 in Maquoketa, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2012.

Sharen was a member of the Apostolic Gospeal Tabernacle Church in Maquoketa. She liked doing word search puzzle books, and loved crocheting, making and giving many gifts throughout the years.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, John Fultner of Maquoketa, IA, and Jerry (Debra) Fultner of Andrew, IA; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children Joan and Jeff, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Sharen Lea Fultner memorial fund has been established.
