Susan Marie Johnson
July 16, 1977 - January 7, 2021

Susan Marie (Slama) Johnson, 43, passed away on January 7, 2021 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Susan was born in Friend, NE on July 16, 1977. She attended Evergreen School District 25 from grades K-4, then attended school in Wilber and graduated in 1995. She went on to graduate from Peru State College in May 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Susan married Gregg Johnson on January 12, 2002 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber. She was employed at Lincoln Financial Group as an Integrated Absence Claims Specialist.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and crafting with her daughters. She always looked forward to family vacations, baking, building her career, and going to the casinos.

Susan is survived by her husband, Gregg Johnson and their two daughters, Alexis (8) and Graycee (12) of Omaha. Her parents Edward and Darlene Slama of Wilber, sister Jaimie Wasik (Christopher Wasik) of Summerville, SC, brother Edward JC Slama of Crete, NE, sister Cheri Slama(Marcus Montoya) of Wilber, sister Christine McClucas of Lemoyne, PA, mother-in-law Diana Johnson of Waverly, sister-in-law Lori Krehnke of Davey, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Dick and Lil Oliver of Wilber and paternal grandparents Clarence and Helen Slama of Crete, and father-in-law Allen Johnson of Waverly.

Celebration of Life services will be held in Omaha at Covenant Presbyterian Church on January 16, 2021 at 10:30 am.
