Nadine Stender
January 27, 1934 - July 17, 2012

Nadine Ann Stender was born January 27, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Mildred Remmes Wilson. She passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Holstein, Iowa, at the age of seventy-eight.
Nadine was born in Dunlap. She attended Denison Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1950. Following graduation she began working at Denison Drug until it closed in the early eighties. She then worked for the Crawford County Auditor and in the mid-nineties she worked for the Huebner Funeral Home.
On February 24, 1968, Nadine was united in marriage to Harold Stender in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Denison. Nadine was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where she served as an usher for many years, and was on the board at WESCO . She was very social and loved to bowl, golf and play cards with friends.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; her brother, Jim Wilson; and one nephew, Kevin ONeill. Survivors include her daughter Pam Wilson; one sister, Rita ONeill and her husband, Mike; nephews and nieces, Mary ONeill, Lori Lonneman, Sean ONeill, Jill Smith, Tari Croy, Shannon Gebers, Erin Gleason and Ryan ONeill.
