In loving memory of

Kala L. Reiser
November 14, 1986 - June 6, 2018

The family will be having a Private - Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Kala Lynn Reiser, daughter of James and Denise Reiser, was born November 14, 1986 in Denison, Iowa. She passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at St Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa at the age of thirty-one.
Kala was baptized November 30, 1986 at Dow City. Since being born with a severe disability, and needing skilled care, as a young child Kala became a resident of Faith, Hope and Charity in Storm Lake, Iowa and as an adult she resided at New Hope Village in Carroll, Iowa. Both facilities gave her wonderful, quality care. It was evident when she was hospitalized that she belonged to a truly caring group of individuals from New Hope. They took their own time to make sure that, if family was not with Kala, one of the staff was with her. They did not want her to ever be left alone in her hospital room.
Kala would light up a room with her infectious smile. She loved people and whenever someone would walk into the room she would get excited and light up with her big smile! Even though she could not verbally communicate, she still interacted with her smile, eyes and laugh. She seemed to have a little mischievous side to her, she would start laughing when another resident got into trouble.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald. Survivors include: her parents, Jim and Denise; two sisters, Ashley and Courtney; one brother, Justin; grandparents, Ron and Barb; Alice, and Dale and Carma; great-grandmother Lavina; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

"Kayla could light up a room with her smile. I had the pleasure of working with Kayla at Faith Hope and Charity, and she was loved by all. We used to do something like drop a broom in the kitchen just to make her laugh. She loved seeing someone mess something up! Your spirit is now soaring, free and light, sweet Kayla."
