In loving memory of

Stephanie Ann Gustafson
October 25, 1963 - December 22, 2020

Stephanie Ann Gustafson was born October 25, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri to Rex Mark and Ethel Laura (Dean) Rogers. She graduated from Raymore Peculiar High School, Class of 1981, Peculiar, Missouri and then Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Stephanie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, while attending church with her parents. Later, she recommitted her life to Christ, after buying a Christian Music Cassette at a Wal Mart store. Stephanie began searching for more of what the Lord had for her by attending several Christian Singles groups at different churches in the Kansas City area. Stephanie met Norm during a Christian Singles trip to Iowa in October 1991. They later became friends with each other, when Norm began coming to the singles functions almost every weekend. Norm courted Stephanie for several months in 1992 and then she decided to give the Iowa farm boy a shot at the title of “Boyfriend”. After wise counsel from some of Stephanie’s closest friends, things got more exciting for them. Stephanie married Norman Gustafson in Shawnee, Kansas on August 28, 1993. She and Norman became parents to their daughter, Janae in 2002.

Stephanie last worked as the office manager for Nexus Financial, Overland Park, Kansas after many years of employment at IBM and Sprint. Stephanie loved photography, sports, especially softball and cheerleading and the Special Olympics. She cherished reading the scriptures and following God’s word. Her pursuit of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit has been relentless and rewarding during the past five years. Stephanie and Norm had a life changing event after attending a three day weekend with Christ called Tres Dias. After seeing the miraculous works and amazing healings during everyday life and church events, Stephanie became a beacon and leader among her Life Group, Tres Dias Community, and church Marriage Ministry. She would proclaim, “Nothing is too big for God!” She left this world with absolutely no regrets and just spent her first Christmas in Heaven with Christ!

Stephanie passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas attaining the age of fifty-seven years.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Norman and daughter Janae of the home and her brother Brian Rogers and wife Tiffany and daughter Ramsie of Gardner, Kansas.
