Hubert Cecil Lochmiller was born on October 31, 1928, to Gottlieb and Laura (Marshall) Lochmiller on a farm near Denison. He attended East Boyer Center Country School graduating eighth grade. He received an honorary discharge from the artillery division of United States Army in September 1955, to take care of his father who was bedridden. Following his discharge, he was employed fulltime by McMinemee Farms, which was his lifelong occupation.
Hubert was a member of the Denison Baptist Church. He enjoyed celebrating family birthdays and anniversaries, attending the Crawford County Fair and many other events in uptown Denison.
Hubert died on January 5, 2021, at the Manilla Manor in Manilla, Iowa, at the age of 92 years, two months and five days.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna (Leo) Keating; brother, Glen (Marjorie) Lochmiller; brother-in-law, John H. Hansen; special friend, Lydia Hopp; two nephews, Robert Keating and Neil Lochmiller; and nephew-in-law, Dave Long. He is survived by his sister, Doris L. Hansen of Denison; nieces, Shirley Long of Ankeny, Barb (Gary) Preul of Denison, Lucy (Javier Jimenez) Hansen of Texas, Marilyn Keating of Ankeny, Joyce (Norm) Farrington of Council Bluffs, and Janet (Joel) Klaassen of Connecticut; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Denison, also at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

He enjoyed all parties, anniversary celebrations and Crawford County Fair where he was honored as oldest there maybe 2019, I remember him as a child as he lived at our house for awhile., he was a very caring and kind man, and always felt a link to my Dad who passed away in Nov. 2001.
