Judith M. Marchany, 77, of Gwinn, passed away Friday evening, January 8, 2021 at U.P. Health System- Marquette.
She was born March 21, 1943, in Gwinn, a daughter of Elzie and Doris (Vallier) Hutchens. She was a 1961 graduate of Gwinn High School.
On June 12, 1965, she married Cesar R. Marchany in Gwinn.
Judith worked as a cook and housekeeper at Holloman AFB in New Mexico, Spangdahlem AFB in Germany, Myrtle Beach AFB and KI Sawyer AFB while her husband served in the US Air Force. She also worked as a manager at the former Shopperstown store in Gwinn.
Judith was a member of Gwinn United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Cesar R. Marchany of Gwinn; son, Steven Marchany of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Lauren & Rachel Marchany and Gabriella Hammond; siblings, Gayle Hutchens, Sandra Anaway and Donald Hutchens, all of Gwinn; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Gwinn United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Fike officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
