Rose Marie (Kunkel) Schiltz was born December 2, 1934, in St. Benedict, the daughter of Bernard and Caroline (Lange) Kunkel. She attended school in St. Benedict graduating from Lu Verne High School. Rose Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a hard worker dedicated to her family. The stove and washing machine never got a break and neither did she.

Rose enjoyed cooking and was known for always having chocolate chip cookies on hand. Her fried chicken was a Sunday favorite. She was her children's and grandchildren's biggest fan at all of their events. Rose enjoyed playing cards, sewing, quilting, and volunteering at Accura Healthcare. Rose had a deep faith in the Lord. One of her favorite trips was to Rome and visiting St. Peters Basilica.

Rose Marie Schiltz died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at her home surrounded by her children. She was 86.
