Charles W. Whitaker, 59, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Charles was born on February 8, 1961, in Arkansas, to the late Charles Whitaker and Vera Bauer. He worked in construction as a roofer for many years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and music, and in his younger years, he liked to go hunting.
Charles is survived by his children, William (Andrea) Walker, Anderson, Adam Whitaker, Upland, Irene Kimble, Indianapolis, and Charles Whitaker, Jr., Anderson; grandchildren, Conner, Jay, Everette, Walker, and Adalee Whitaker, and Addley Schultz; brothers, Gerald (Connie) Whitaker, and Kenny Whitaker, both of Summitville; sister, Patricia (Terry) Brewer, Big Sandy, TN; and brother-in-law, Jack Knepp, Big Sandy, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vera; sisters, Madean Knepp and Diane Vetor; brother, Dwight Whitaker; and his loving dog, Bubbers.
Arrangements for Charles have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount. In accordance with Charles's wishes, no services will be held.
