Jean Murawski
June 12, 1929 - January 8, 2021

Jean A. Murawski, 91, of Quincy, died at 9:50pm, Friday evening on 8 January at Blessing Hospital. Jean was born June 12, 1929, in St Louis, Mo., a daughter of Albert and Clara (Miller) Klunk. She was a graduate of Central High School in St. Louis. She married Eugene Murawski in St. Charles on April 28, 1962. He preceded her in death in 2018. During her early adult years, Jean was in the Civil Air Patrol and was an adept Ping-Pong player; however, her ultimate goal was fulfilled by becoming a mother. Jean later maintained an interest in games and contests and found the time to follow professional tennis and television game shows when she was between activities in support of her children. Her favorite game show was "Jeopardy" and it has been noted that the day of her passing was same as the airing of Alex's Trebek's last televised episode.

Jean, a product of survivors of the Great Depression, was not a material person. Her treasures were adventures (and later visits) with those she loved. She enjoyed calligraphy and the use of pastels to create portraits of her loved ones until her eyesight began to fail.
In her later years, she adorned the walls of her room at Bradford Villa with artwork that her granddaughters and her son-in-law Doug made for her, commenting on this and any other talents with any visitors.
She was loved by many.

Jean was a devout Lutheran and optimistic in times of challenges, and at all times showed her deep concern about the well-being of her family, whom she loved, supported and made her priority. Survivors include two daughters: Christine (Dr. Douglas) Sullivant of Quincy and Melinda (David) Adams of Clinton, Utah; three granddaughters, Dr. Christina (Bradley) Fullmer of Tacoma, Wash., Emily Sullivant and Charlotte Sullivant of Columbia, Mo.; great-grandson Beckham Fullmer; sisters Yvonne Klunk of St. Louis and Suzanne (Mike) Willey of Congress AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Murawski, sister Marione VanVoorhis and her husband Russ.

SERVICES: A private service was held at Quincy Memorial Park with Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating.
