John L. Adkins, 64 year old resident of Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Little Falls, MN passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11 AM at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service.
John was born on March 14, 1953 in Grand Rapids, MN to James and Marie Appalonia (Barten) Adkins. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School with the class of 1973. John worked as a dishwasher, at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs, through Productive Alternatives. He also worked on various farms and did some handy-man work. John enjoyed playing cards and going fishing. He will be remembered for his response of for sure.
John is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Colleen) Adkins of Iron, MN, Irene Windt of Deer River, MN, JoAnn (William) Rancourt of Grand Rapids, MN, Peter (Jeanie) Adkins of Deer River, MN, Linda Scepurek of Little Falls, MN, Betty Scepurek of Bowlus, MN, James Adkins of Deer River, MN, Dennis Adkins, MN, Ralph Adkins of Rice, MN, Roger (Diane) Adkins, Grand Rapids, MN; and many nieces nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Marlon Windt and Sylvester Scepurek; a sister-in-law, Patti Adkins, a niece, Amy Adkins; and four nephews, Aaron Adkins, Scott Armstrong, Wade Windt and Lucas Meschke.
