Joseph William Von Itter
August 29, 1922 - July 10, 2017

Joseph Von Itter, age 94 of Little Falls, died July 10, 2017 at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17 at 10:30 A.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Pastor Jan Bosman officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.

Joseph William Von Itter was born on August 29, 1922 in Prospect Park, NJ to William and Katherine (Fodi) Von Itter. After graduating from high school, he joined the service. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Maas. Joseph studied plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, and worked at Bendix in Teterboro, NJ on air craft parts for 30 years. He was a volunteer at the fire department in West Milford, NJ and was Chief for about 5 years. The couple moved to Little Falls in 1976. Joseph enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and most recently enjoyed being a part of Facebook.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Robert W. Von Itter of Robbinsville, NC and John R. Von Itter of Little Falls, MN; eight grandchildren, Joseph R. Von Itter, Stephen Von Itter, Christine Von Itter, Timothy Von Itter, Heidi (Von Itter) Bivens, Amy L. Von Itter, Faith A. Von Itter and Gabrielle (Von Itter) Vicnaire; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanette Von Itter; son, Joseph T. Von Itter; and brothers, William and Robert Von Itter.
