"My heart is with all of you and so sorry that you have had to say goodbye to such a special man. I have always admired Godfather Al and loved to hear the stories of the past that were made from our families. I feel very lucky to have been able to call him my Godfather and wished only for more time to build our relationship together. His laughter and amazement over the dogs I loved and I know now he will be my angel to help me accomplish my dreams for them. In reading these condolences it makes me smile to know what he has done for others and will continue to do. He was a true blessing to so many. We will all meet again someday and mom and Al will have it all ready for us. I wish for peaceful days for all of you and the hope for brighter days to ease the pain. Goodbye for now Godfather Al, love you..."

"Dear Kuebelbeck family.... Feeling so sad for you all at this tough time! Al was just a wonderful man....one of the most caring that I have ever known.  I remember that he came to be with us at mom's wake and it meant so much to us! He also came to my sister Kara's (who is his goddaughter) husband Randy Karnowski's cancer benefit that we had for him too. When you needed him, he was there! Your family was the reason we made our move from St Cloud to Randall and I am so grateful for that! Had the most wonderful memories growing up close to this good family! God Bless and remember that the ones we love are never truly gone...they live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved them, and he was truly loved! Love you all very much! Sue"

Miss me a little -- but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Rmember the love that we once shared, Miss me -- but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. "It is with heavy heart that I write this to Al's family..My sincere sympathies go out to you all.. Like Al I have been in the Marine industry many many years and after the economic collapse a few years ago I got caught up in layoffs like so many did. All gave me the job at Larson and its been a great pleasure to have helped him build the company he loved so much back up again to its former glory... We have a lot of work ahead but because of ground work and direction laid down by Al...He'll be with us all in spirit for many years to come.. I'm proud to say I knew and worked with him.. Mike O'Connell wrote on Jan 16, 2014:

"Mary and family, So, so sorry to hear of Al's passing. We spent many long hours together through some really tough times at Larson Boats, and his memory will certainly live on with me.  He was a solid role model and mentor, and as our relationship grew stronger...a cheerleader for me and a coach when I needed it. More importantly, you should know that many, many times we would share our thoughts on family and friends, and how taking care of business was our way of taking care of those we loved.  Al ALWAYS had his family at the top of his list, even when the job sometimes took more of his time than it should.  He was proud enough to share the pride he had in all of you with me, and I was honored that he took the time to share his pride with me. I remember him stressing that he couldn't get away to go to see a grandson play in the Little League World Series...but you guys should know he had those games live on his computer in the office and he was watching EVERY MINUTE while pretending to us that he was working! You know he was always with you guys, even when he couldn't be.  Now he is with you every moment, and will be your guardian angel the rest of your lives. Al impacted the lives of so many people for so many years that his impact on me seems almost trivial...but if the impact was so big on me in the few years we had together, just imagine the total impact he had not only on the family, but on thousands of lives that are better today for having had Al in their lives, even for a short time.  I can't imagine the sorrow at loosing him, but always remember he lives on in the lives of those he touched...and that is a lot of lives! With sincere regards, Mike and Barb O'Connell"
