Dorothy Adams, age 91, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on January 23, 1921 in Swanville Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late John & Catherine (Skroch) Stiller. She grew up on the farm in Swanville Township and attended country school. She was united in marriage to Louis Adams on October 18, 1941 in Browerville, MN. The couple spent a few years in Louisiana where they worked at an Army PX store. The couple then returned to Little Falls and purchased a home on the west side of Little Falls. They later moved to the east side of Little Falls where they raised their family. Dorothy was primarily a homemaker. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Home and St. Gabriel's Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls and the Christian Mothers. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and baking, playing volleyball at the lake, setting jigsaw puzzles, fishing, playing cards and spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karen Adams of Sauk Rapids, Michelle (Neil) VonderHaar of Little Falls, Larry (Stephanie) Adams of Little Falls; grandchildren, Zarie (Tyler) Smith, Kara VonderHaar, Kelsy (Derek Johnson) VonderHaar, Matthew (Katera) Adams, Ashley (Travis Reese) Adams; great grandchild, Khloe Reese; sister-in-law, Florence Adams of Little Falls; life-long friend, Nadine Nelson of Sauk Rapids and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; twin sister, Eleanor and her other brothers and sisters.
