"Susan and the entire Team-Wellman; we are truly saddened to hear about Rodney's passing. I was fortunate to work with Rodney for a few years in DC, then again out west and have super fond memories of his professionalism and kind heart. We wish you all the best during this time."

"Susan and family, I am deeply saddened over your loss. I worked closely with Rod over the years and he was a wonderful person and I considered him a true friend. He and I worked together with then Secretary Ridge as he transitioned from governor to the federal agency, along with his work with the state police. My wife and I lived just around the corner from you guys. I pray you find comfort and healing over time as yours and our memories of him are of a truly wonderful man. "

"My deepest condolences to the Wellman family. Rodney was a good man. He was my supervisor when I was in the Los Angeles Field Office. He was a fair man with a strong work ethic and demanded the same from those that worked for him. Rodney will be missed. He has left a commendable legacy on this Agency."

"Although I never had the pleasure of meeting his wife and daughters, Rodney and I talked a lot about you all while we were on the road together. Family was at the forefront of almost every conversation. He was extremely proud of you, you all were his world and everything he did was for you. I hope you can take some solace in knowing that you all meant everything to him and he meant a great deal to many, many people. Rest In Peace Rod..."
