Billie "Kay" Cullum
March 15, 1945 - January 3, 2021

Billie Kay (Bethay) Cullum, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in her home. She was born on March 15, 1945, in Tupelo, MS. She is the daughter of the late Wade and Willie Mae (Barber) Bethay. Kay graduated from Fairmount High School, and then attended Grant School of Practical Nursing, becoming an LPN. On November 18, 1961, she married Aaron Wayne Cullum, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2017. Kay worked as a nurse for Thompson Consumer Electronics, Colonial Oaks, and in-home healthcare. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 57 years, and was a Past Matron, Past District Deputy #13, and Past Grand Martha, and she was extremely proud of her accomplishments. She enjoyed crafting and was a collector of many things.
Kay is survived by her sons, Marc (Jamie) Cullum, Marion, and Christopher (Katherine) Cullum, Poulsbo, WA; grandchildren, Aaryn (Briley), Evan, and Maura Cullum, Preston (Natsumi) Mikesell, Logan Turner, and Stanley Davis, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Hana Mikesell; and brothers, Kenton Bethay, Terre Haute, and Theodore (Carol) Trumbauer, Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Willie Mae, step-father Rev. Paul Trumbauer; and siblings, Joy Ault, and Pet and Jon Bethay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, where a visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., as well as an hour before the funeral service. An Eastern Star service will take place at 6:30 p.m. A funeral will be on Saturday, January 9, at 12:00 p.m., with Eric Bingaman officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
