Lou Ann Reid
March 10, 1939 - December 27, 2020

Lou Ann Townley Reid went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2020 at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born March 10, 1939 in Austin, Texas to Dewey Roosevelt Townley and Jessie Lee Walker Townley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Johnny B. Reid, her children Judith Ann Reid, Jerri Lynn Reid Wilbanks, and Suzanne Renee Reid, her brothers J.D. Townley and Billy Wayne Townley, and her sisters Edna Louise Tom, Walda Jean Raesz, and Atrelle Mahan. Lou Ann was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, TX.

Lou Ann's family was her pride and joy. She selflessly cared for her daughters and husband in times of need. She loved bowling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She had a smile that would light up a room. She is survived by daughter Cynthia Harlow and husband Greg Harlow, granddaughter Lindsey Elieson and husband Matt Elieson, and great-grandson Nate Elieson.

Please join us at 11 AM on Friday, January 1, 2021 for a grave-side memorial service at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill, 13905 North Interstate Hwy, Austin, TX 78728.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Lou Ann bravely desired that her brain be donated to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for the advancement of Lewy Body Dementia research.
