"We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers."
"Dear Delores and Family, I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. What a gaping hole his death leaves in your family. It is clear by the pictures on the tribute page that Bob was a fully engaged husband, father and grandpa. What a delight to see your beautiful family in those pics. Having gone to school with most of the Current kids and their spouses (I was in Sherry's class), I got to know Bob only through interactions with him at school functions, sporting events and a few times while at your house to pick up Sherry for shenanigans of some kind. Not knowing him well, the biggest thing that stands out to me about Bob is his genuine kindness. I remember one time, a group of us arrived at your home to fetch Sherry shortly after Bob got home from work. I could see how tired he was as he took a seat at your kitchen table; however he sat and chit chatted with us for several minutes as we waited for Sherry. He had us laughing as he teased us about what plans we had for the night. For some reason I remember that encounter with him vividly, I?m not sure why as it wasn?t a pinnacle encounter; instead it was just life as usual being shared with a bunch of teenage girls. I wonder if I remember it so well because albeit exhausted, he put it aside to fully engage us while we were there. As I write this, I realize what a lesson that is to me; genuinely engage others in each situation, no matter how mundane, how fleeting the moment is or what I may feel like. Be selfless and engage. Bob was selfless. More than once I remember having a conversation with him, small talk really, but for an awkwardly outgoing teenage girl, he was always full of questions and conversations that truly engaged me. Delores, you did the same. I always felt welcome, engaged and a genuine sense of caring from both you and Bob. What an example you two were?and Delores, you still are, I?m certain of it as it is in your nature. I regret I the snow storm kept me from coming to the visitation to pay my respects in person. It would have been so nice to see all of you again, albeit under difficult circumstances. You are in my thoughts and I have been praying for your family. With deepest sympathy, Rebecca Bendixen (Becky Jamison)"
"Delores & Family, our deepest sympathy & prayers. It has been many years but Bob & I in July 1966 joined the service together. Our fathers took us to Dubuque. I left that day, but I believe Bob went a little later. He was a good man and proud veteran. May he rest in peace. Jim & Gabi Nolan, Goodyear AZ"
"My deepest condolences to Aunt Delores & all of my cousins. I know I'll miss Uncle Bobby. I have so many memories of Bobby. My earliest memory was Bobby helping to cultivate at my Grandma & Grandpa Schnoor's house and he got back to the house at the end of the day and helped me to butcher a bunch of bullheads I caught out of the pond. I'm not sure why I remember this so vividly as I was so very young, but I'm sure it had something to do with Bobby making it so fun and memorable. My favorite memory of Bobby was our group's first paintball "outing" when Bobby hid up in a tree, thinking he was going to "sniper" the other team. Well, that didn't work out so good when everyone started to shoot paintballs at him and he had nowhere to run! I thought I was going to pass out from laughing so hard. I'll miss you Bobby. Tred Schnoor"
"My deepest condolences to the immediate Family of Cousin Bobby. I have fond memories of Bobby, while growing up, during my childhood years. You are in God?s light, Bobby. You will be missed!"
