"Gary and Family: Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers in these most difficult times."
"Dearest Felton Family, know that you are being lifted up to the Heavenly Father for HIS strength and peace as you celebrate the precious life of Sue Ann. She leaves quite the legacy of Kingdom impact to so many, including me! She was a beautiful example of what a teacher?s care for her students looks like. (I began my first years of teaching just down the hallway from her classroom at Westview.) I am thankful for her Christ-filled modeling and support as she cared for me, too! May each of you be filled deeply with the assurance that in Christ you will be reunited again for always...healed and whole with HIM!-Love, the Dan Bryant Family"

"Sue was my older cousin who I always looked up to. I was so proud to say that my cousin was a teacher at JC Knight when I was just a student. She once gave me a ride to school in her Mustang and I thought I was the coolest 5th grader in the world!! She and my mom had a special relationship and I believe they are together now, just like old times. My tender thoughts go to Gary, Julie, Troy, Karen and all the family. May she rest in peace. Connie Baxter "
"I have fun memories of Sue when we were colleagues at Westview. Sue knew my mother-in-law liked gooseberries, so she always invited me to pick a pie?s worth when they ripened-on one of those visits she gave me a Christmas cactus that still thrives. My sincere sympathy to her loved ones. "
"Sue was one of my favorite elementary school teachers and I would have had her in her early teaching years of the late 1960's. I also worked with Jere when I worked at NIFSCO, or now known as STAR Bank. Sue was a tremendous person and teacher, and my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the family. "
"Sue was a very special person! Condolences to the family and know she was loved! I subbed for her on a maternity leave . My daughter Sara is a former student. The chicks spent vacation that year with us!"

"I have many wonderful memories of Mrs. Felton during my time in her 2nd grade classroom, 1981-1982. I remember her bringing in eggs to show us how a baby chick hatches, the gumdrop tree she had on her desk, learning to write cursive and her reading us Charlotte's Web. We kept in touch until I married and had children. I have thought of her often over the past several years. She was a rare and precious jewel and I will remember her fondly. My deepest sympathy to her beloved family. "
"So sorry to hear of this loss! I had her when I was in 2nd grade, and she was one of my favorite teachers that I ever had! I?ve tried finding her on social media with no success. I remember her wearing an orange-colored lipstick that she would always get on her teeth and would just laugh about it. She would let us earn fake money for good grades that we could spend on fun items she brought into the classroom, and I remember getting some perfume that I just loved! She let us pick reading spots in the classroom, and we all fought over the spot under her desk. I also remember having a turquoise winter scarf that she complimented me on, so my mom helped me get one for her just like it as a Christmas gift. I absolutely loved her! She took the time to engage with her students on a personal level, and I will never forget the positive impact she had on me as an elementary student! What a tremendous loss for her family and friends! "
