"Jim was a member of our Gowrie Golf Course back in 1980?s and I have fond memories of his golfing with me there. He played in our Denny Vogel Memorial best shot at different courses and only missed one in the last 16 years. I believe he had a fishing trip planned that year. It was great to see him and his buddies Jim Johnson, Jay Collins and others every summer at our outing. He was so positive and fun to be around. My deepest condolences to all. Dean Gleason "

"Uncle Jim, RIP. You have been such a great Uncle to all the nieces and nephews in our families. You and Kathy never missed a wedding or graduation in the Hood family. We so appreciated that growing up in a big family. I loved stopping and seeing you and Kathy before flying to St Louis or on my way back. Jim and I always enjoyed visiting you and Kathy. He will be missed. I always loved that contagious laugh of his. One of my favorite stories/memories with Uncle Jim was when I played in a golf tournament with him at Lakeside in Jefferson. I was his partner. I was really nervous even though I played quite a bit of golf back then. We ended up winning the tournament, but Uncle Jim got me out of some very challenging areas. Mike, Lisa, Jason & Amy, you have my deepest sympathy. Love, prayers, and hugs! "
