Gaynell Patrice Bowers, of Morgantown passed away early Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020 at her home after a long illness
She was born April 29, 1955 in Baltimore, MD, and was a daughter of Walter Louis and Lois Lorraine (Crawford) Phillips.
Survivors include her two children Marie Bauhaus, and Brenda Lee Curry and husband Robert all of Morgantown; five grandchildren Alten Joseph Williamson, Eithan Bauhaus, and Dalton, Robert and Cody Curry; a great-granddaughter Olivia Lynn Michelle Kinsley; her sister Wanda Sanders of Hazelton, and a brother-in-law Reginald Leroy Summers, Sr. of Bruceton Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner, Robert Curry; three siblings Carrie Summers, Walter Phillips, Jr. and Ronald Phillips.
Gaynell was a proud and devoted homemaker who enjoyed baking and watching game shows. She loved listening to Elvis Presley's music and watching his movies, and spending time with her family - especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
No services are planned for Gaynell and her request for cremation has been honored by her family.
