Shirley Ann Mommsen
August 17, 1937 - November 30, 2020

Shirley A. Mommsen, 83, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Monday morning, November 30, 2020, at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa, from complications of CoVid 19 Pneumonia.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held at Lost Nation, Iowa Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. There is no public visitation. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Shirley Ann Mommsen was born on August 17, 1937 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Ralph and Anna (Kramer) Mommsen. She was a 1956 graduate of Maquoketa High School. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa from September 11, 1958 until retiring on November 24, 2002. In her spare time, she loved quilting.

Those left to honor her are special friends, David and Lisa Clark of Iowa City, IA; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa or to a charity of the donor's choice.
