"Some comments made after hearing of his passing: He was a good worker and a good person. He was always joking about something, likable to work with. Dick always came off as a big tough dude but underneath his rough exterior there was a good kind hearted man. When he respected you, you knew you had made a friend. He always wore an International Harvester cap while working for green John Deere. He is wearing a cap and angel wings now ~ God bless & we"

"Aunt Em,
Life is eternal, love is immortal and death is only a horizon. life is eternal as we move into the light and a horizon is nothing, save the limits of our sight.
There is nothing that any of us can say that will ease the pain of losing a child. A part of the soul of a mother is torn apart. It is not the normal course, we are not supposd to bury our children. But we must hold tight to our faith and one another, for it is all that we have now at this time of trial.
Dickie lived life fully and without regret. He had a grand life and a exuberant legacy. Remember the good times and smile.
I was just commenting last week how we had an intact generation we had not lost a single cousin and than mother calls with the news of Dickie's death, this certainly puts things in prospective for those left behind to love more deeply and laugh louder.
My prayers go out to my dear godmother, Emily Ruth Young, her surviving children, my cousins and their families. Much love, Robert"

"Dear Aunt Emilie, We want to tell you that our hearts are broken for the great loss you have, We are sorry for not coming around, but it is time for your family to help you threw this great loss to go on,don't give up we all need to have you here still. As a cousin growing up around Dick he was such a daring young boy, he could ride a pony and not be afraid of doing anything he could run like the wind when we were playing a game and be very gentle when around his younger brothers or sisters. As time went on and he grew into a young man just out of school. When I decided to be getting married I wanted to have each of my younger cousin's in my wedding Dick was a usher along with Harold they were great for the role, He was a person whom always wanted you to remmber him by a statement in his style of what he did. His hair,he wore it long on one side, never thought I would see him with long hair, because I can remmber his Dad cutting off his hair a butch. He had a fancy red car and drove so fast, he liked to give you rides and listen to you scream, and I could scream. And I think my son's and John & I will always remmber Dick being at the County Fair and having his Tractor in the many pulls that he loved to do. Please know that we all want to extend our Sympathy to Ralph & You and your family. Sincerely yours John & Pat, John & Jessie,Dalton,Austyn & Riley and Tom & Lynne' and Charlie & Bryanna & Ella Isaacs"
