In loving memory of

Neal and Catherine "Lavonne" Losure

On Friday, November 20, 2020, at 1:58 p.m., Neal E. Losure, 82, passed away at Marion General Hospital. Approximately 19 hours later, the love of his life, Catherine "Lavonne" Losure, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 21. They both passed away due to complications from Covid-19. Neal and Lavonne were married on June 19, 1959, and celebrated 61 years of marriage this summer.

Neal was born on August 6, 1938, to the late Brainerd and Mary Jane Losure. He joined the Air Force and served for three months, before he was medically discharged. He then worked as a die maker at Fisher Body for 33 years, retiring on October 31, 2000. Neal enjoyed watching Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon, playing the lottery, and keeping up with things on Facebook. He liked woodworking and remodeled their home.

Lavonne was born on January 17, 1942, to the late Charles and Mary Persinger. She was a dedicated wife and mother and worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening, going on her daily walks, playing on her Kindle, and painting carousel horses. She was an honest person who would do anything she could to help someone.

Neal and Lavonne were voted King and Queen of Fairmount in 2014, and they were proud of that accomplishment. They were members of The River Church in Marion, and they had volunteered at Helping Hands. Their favorite pastime was taking their golf cart on a daily ride. You could always know when to watch for them, as they always took the same route at the same time each day.

Due to circumstances regarding Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home and at the graveside.

"Uncle Neal and Aunt Lavonne, You can?t talk about one without mentioning the other! They lived their life together as one. I can remember the first time I met them, they both were so kind and accepting of me marrying their nephew Donnie, whom they loved like their own. We didn?t see them often, as life seems to take over and keep us all busy, but whenever we did see them, We always had such a fun time. They both had such kind hearts! We will miss you both, and am praying for your children and grandchildren whom you loved with all your hearts! May you both RIP! Cathy Losure"
