Steven Ferreira, 53, loving partner and father passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 19th, 2020.
Steven was born on July 14th, 1967 in Taunton, MA to Edward and Dianne (Mador) Ferreira. He received his diploma from Taunton High School in 1985, and was a mental healthcare worker at Taunton State Hospital for 31 years.
Steven had an unbridled love for life. An avid lover of Boston sports, fishing, cooking, eating, beach-going, music, travel, and more. There was no person in his life who didn't have a good story to share of him. He was a fun-loving man who liked to share his sense of humor with everyone. He was loved for his dry wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit, the presence of which will be dearly missed by his many friends and loved ones.
He is survived by his partner Anne Cathcart, his children Zachary Chevrier-Ferreira and Alyson Cathcart, his father Edward Ferreira, his sister Nicole (Ferreira) Bornemann, his cat Autumn, a niece, a nephew, several cousins, aunts, uncles, and a large extended family. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Ferreira, and his brother, Timothy Ferreira.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home at 467 Bay Street in Taunton from 2:00-5:00PM. "Ed, Anne, and family. I have no words, this was such a loss. Steve was such a great guy who would go out of his way to help others. I\'m so glad I got to work with him for so many years.
