Wellman - Joe Donald Martinez went to Heaven on Monday, November 16, 2020 in the comfort of his home, surrounded with love and prayers.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Martinez, his daughter Donna McCain, his son in law Shannon McCain, his grandchildren, Duncan McCain, Dominic McCain and Drea McCain, his sister Delmiria Lovato, sister Urcilia Gallegos, brother Gabriel (Bobbi) Cisneros, brother Leandro (Lita) Martinez, brother Frank (Virginia) Martinez, brother Harland (Hazel) Martinez, brother Danny (Helen Miera) Martinez, sister Rufina (Terry) Golkowski, brother Michael (LeAnn) Martinez,. He is preceded in death by his parents Arcenio and Inumenia Martinez, brother Archie Martinez, sister Virginia Kessler, sister Veronica Lovato, sister Dulcinea Martinez, sister Neita Martinez, sister in law Loretta Martinez.

Donald was born on August 16, 1943 in Garcia, CO. Donald and Cathy celebrated 55 years of marriage on August 28, 2020. Throughout their marriage they ran many businesses together. He was a hard worker, to say the least. Donald also served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He shared his love of his Catholic Faith with everyone he came to meet. He made an impact on so many lives and has left us with the greatest memories.

A private Graveside service will be held in Wellman, IA and a Celebration of Life will be held in Questa, NM at a later date. Powell Funeral Home in Wellman is caring for Joe and his family. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
