In loving memory of

Jennifer K. Davis Harder
October 2, 1970 - November 12, 2020

Jennifer K. Davis Harder October 2, 1970 - November 12, 2020

Preceded in death by grandparents "Hap" and Betty Hatter of Costa Mesa CA. and Jim and Irene Davis of Bellevue NE.

Survived by father, Jim Davis, stepmother Cindy of Papillion, brother Matthew wife Robyn and nephews Grayson and Cayden of Omaha. Also companion Tommy Krueger, Omaha.
Jennifer is also survived by many fantastic aunts, uncles, and cousins, in the Omaha area, Minnesota, and California, who all played an important part in her life.

Jennifer was born in California and uprooted back to Nebraska at the age of 12 by her father. She did learn to love it here. She was an animal lover, owning many rescue dogs and cats in her lifetime. She enjoyed fishing and water skiing with family in Minnesota. Jenn had a passion for music and supported the local music scene and many of her good friends were a part of that. She shared this passion with a most important part of her life, brother Matt.
She loved a gathering, be it with friends or family or both, always up for an adventure, and was a great cook. She had a great sense of humor, with a dry wit, and could laugh it up with the best of 'em.
At a young age she chose the gift of life, and to give that gift to a selected couple. Tough choices, made by a tough young lady, with a huge heart.
Special thanks to the Covid-19 team at UNMC. Your skilled efforts, compassion, and kindness are what make you the rock stars and superheroes that you are.

In lieu of flowers, Donations to Town and County Humane Society Papillion or any charity of your choice in Jennifer's name.

Private family services. Life Celebration at a later date.

"Jenna was one of a kind. With a heart as big as an ocean. I will think about her for the rest of my life when I see or hear certain things. She was a gardener in a world full of flowers. I take comfort in the fact that she has some peace now. "

"I met Jennifer, Matt and Jim in 1986 I believe. What an incredible threesome they were. Jennifer was the strongest teenager I have ever known. She gave the gift of life to a couple who were so appreciative of Jennifer?s sacrifice. Gretchen Reid"

"I met Jennifer at work (in 2004 in San Diego) as a medical assistant extern. She was my mentor. Throughout our time working together I learned a lot from her and about her. She loved her family and she was so proud of them. She spoke of her dad, her brother, her grandmother, her aunts Sue and Patty (I remember when she got Peppermint Patty tattooed on her foot in tribute to her), and when her nephews were born, she spoke of them too and proudly showed off pictures. I remember she was always talking about her brother, Matt- whenever he got a promotion, when he was diagnosed with MS, when he became a father. She also shared stories of them growing up. Jennifer was a loving fur-mom. The pups she had in San Diego were products of my dogs..and wow, was she the best person for all her fur kids to have! I will miss Jennifer. She made me feel welcome as I started a new career in research. She invited me into her home so many times and made me delicious meals. She was funny, too (and inappropriately funny- the best kind of funny)! A memory that always comes up for me when I think about her is when we were in the lab together and found out it was just gonna be me and her since everyone had called out sick. She stood in front of this small mirror, putting her hair up in a pony tail and was saying \"well, better gear up\" and walked away and tripped over some shipping boxes and very gracefully rolled back onto her front, back, and then landed back on her feet. We both looked at each other in shock and then couldn\'t stop laughing. That\'s the Jenn I\'m always going to think of-laughing. I love you Jennifer and I\'m glad you were part of my life. To her friends and family, I am sorry for your loss of such a wonderful, loving human being. "

"She was the families first grandchild, born in Cali and making me an aunt for the first time at the age of 10 so we couldn?t get to CA fast enough to meet her!!! She truly was a very funny, quick witted and caring soul. On her short stay on earth she gave the ultimate gift of life to a needy couple and made a very hard and unselfish choice. She will be remembered by me for her smile and laugh! May God be with you Jenn!! "
