Lois I Boekelman
November 24, 1922 - November 10, 2020

A private family funeral service for Lois Boekelman, 97, of Titonka will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, Titonka. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Buffalo Township Cemetery, Titonka. The funeral service will be live-streamed on Oakcrest Funeral Services' Facebook Page. Social distancing practices will be followed, and masks are REQUIRED.

Lois Iola Boekelman was born November 24, 1922, in Titonka, IA, the daughter of Harvey and Lillian (Jennings) Graham. She grew up in Titonka and attended Titonka Schools through the 9th Grade. Lois worked various jobs in the community; German Valley Stores, Bartlet's Cafe, Callies General Store, and Titonka Care Center in the Kitchen.

She was united in marriage to Joe Boekelman on March 15, 1950, in Titonka at the United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed embroidering, gardening, bird watching, raising violets, and taking drives through the Union Slough. She loved spending time with her family, horses, and dogs. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary.

Lois died Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the Titonka Care Center. She was 97.

She is survived by her son, Calvin and wife Sandy of Algona; daughter, Carol and her husband, Dennis McGreevey of Wesley; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Kalie) Boekelman, Lisa (Tony) DeGroot, Miranda (T.J.) Ruland, Jace (Hope) Boekelman, Jennifer (Mark) Pannaralla, Thomas (Kelli) McGreevey, Christina (Aaron) Moon; 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Harvey and Lillian Graham; brother, Harvey Jr. (Elora) Graham and Donald (Jean) Graham.

The family would like to thank all the people who gave Lois rides and took her places throughout the years.
