Phyllis E. Brown

Phyllis E. (Howell) Brown, 84, of Fairmount died Friday, November 6, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.

Phyllis was born in Fairmount, Indiana on September 6, 1936, daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Vetor) Howell. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1954. In 1956, she married Milo Brown. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on December 1, 2020. Phyllis was a homemaker and formerly worked at Fairmount Wire. She attended Bethel Friends Church. Phyllis loved her family, enjoyed cooking, the Cubs, the Bears, NASCAR, fishing, and going to casinos. She was a proud Navy wife.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Milo; three children, Mike (Karen) Brown, and Teresa Brown, both of Fairmount, and Ron (Mary) Brown, Marion; brother, Robert L. (Marg) Howell Marion, brother-in-law Warren (Frances) Brown, Alexandria; six grandchildren, Ryne (Lacey) Brown, Greentown, Kristen (David) Logan, Wabash, Lucas Brown, Fairmount, Danny (Cyndi) Reneau, Gas City, Donnie Reneau, Marion, and Corey Hamilton, Anderson; and seven great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parent; in-laws, Ernest and Lillian Brown; sisters Virginia (Oren) Haynes and Mary (Paul) Weaver; and brother Hubert (Ruby) Howell.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 12-2 PM. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be a Park Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required.
