Waldemar "Wally" Posio, 76, of Marquette, passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 at U.P. Health System-Marquette.
Wally was born on October 14, 1944 in Marquette, a son of the late Onen and Sadie (Johnson) Posio. On November 12, 1944 he was baptized in Chatham and confirmed at the Eben Junction Evangelical Lutheran Church on December 20, 1959. He was a 1963 graduate of Eben Junction High School.
Wally proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1968 - 1970 during the Vietnam War. In 1993 he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University.
Survivors include dear friends, Jeff and Billie Ladwig of Negaunee and Aaron Zoppetti. Preceding Wally in death besides his parents was a brother, Kenneth Posio; a sister, Marge Thompson and special friend, Karen Lohf who passed away on September 2, 2020.
A military honors service will be held at Canale-Tonella Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, November 18th at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to UPAWS, PO Box 968, Marquette, MI 49855 in Wally's memory.
