Jeremiah Julian Rangel, age 21, gained his angel wings on November 4, 2020, in his mother's hands at his home in Kyle, Texas. Jeremiah had just turned 21 on October 20, born in 1999 to Sharon Poole Rangel and Juan Alberto Rangel in Austin, Texas.
Jeremiah was a caring, generous, adventurous youth, loving the outdoors and exploring country roads, spending time with family. He was a member of the USMCJROTC at Hays High School. Practicing marksmanship at the range with rifle or pistol was another of his major interests.
He fought the good fight against Renal Cell Carcinoma, being first diagnosed in 2018. Jeremiah was in the middle of chemo treatments while working towards his high school diploma, accomplishing his goal and Graduating with his class, attending his Graduation ceremony and receiving honors.. Jeremiah fought on, as he turned 21 he exercised his 2nd amendment right and went to Cabela's to purchase his first handgun. Just days before his departure.
Left to cherish him are his mother and father, along with siblings Isaiah, Mathew, Ariana and Sebastian. Also, his maternal grandmother Amelia Barrera, paternal grandparents Lucila Rangel and Nicolas Rangel along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Hermenegildo Barrera.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle, 1715 Kirby; with funeral mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church in Kyle; followed by burial at Live Oak Cemetery in Uhland, Texas
