Anthony Bruns, 37, of Springhill, LA passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020. 


Anthony John Bruns was born on February 20, 1983 in Shenandoah, IA.   He graduated from Boyer Valley schools in Dunlap, IA.    Anthony was the proud father of Lucas, Xavier, Isiah, Kyisha and Kearah.


Anthony loved football especially cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, enjoyed listening to music, tinkering with bicycles, and going fishing.   Most of all, he loved spending time and being a father to his kids.  


Anthony is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Oldham and uncle, Jack Oldham.


Anthony is survived by his mother, Glennis McCotter and her husband, Rick; children, Lucas Bruns, Xavier Bruns, Isiah Bruns, Kyisha Bruns, and Kearah Bruns all of Springhill, LA; sisters, Crystal Bruns (Jacob Henson) of Benton, LA and children Seth Henson and Hadden Bruns; Tisha Kruse (Jonathan Leonardi) of Atlantic, IA; maternal grandmother, Alice Terry of Springhill, LA; other relatives and a host of friends.

"Love and miss him so much. Especially his happy smile and his goofy off. loved to make people laugh. He was so good and getting his life together. Now 2 more random people shot in Shreveport it is just unreal not even safe to drive anymore with the fear you will get shot. Really sad what the world is coming too.
