"My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Petersen family. I got the opportunity to know Pete several years ago when we were working on 173 through Kimballton. He always had a story to tell and who could forget that laugh. Pete enjoyed talking about anything especially sports. We use to visit about his kids accomplishments and talk about the rivalry between Walnut and Elk Horn over the years. He was truely a great guy who will be missed but lives on through his kids and his grand kids."

"My deepest heart felt sympathy to all of Pete's family. Pete was a very nice man. He sure made us "Minnesotan's" feel special when we visited in years past and was fun to be around on the visits to Alexandria.... "May the Spirit of Pete live on"..... Peace to each of you. Jim Florin"
