    Robert Michael, son of Edward and Otillia (Lengel) Reineke, was born May 8, 1955, at Carroll, Iowa. He grew up on the family farm and attended Holy Spirit Elementary School. After graduating from Kuemper High School in Carroll in 1973 he earned a bachelors degree in Industrial Marketing at Iowa State University in Ames. Later he earned another bachelors degree in English at Iowa State.

   Bob sold commercial farm advertising for a short time and then held various jobs in Carroll where he lived the majority of his life. Bob visited his mother regularly.  He enjoyed the solitude of the outdoors and spent many hours contemplating nature, especially at Swan Lake.

    Bob was diagnosed with cancer late in 2006. He was hospitalized in St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll where died of complications of cancer on Friday, April 25, 2008, at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 17 days.

Preceding Bob in death are his father in 1975 and his nephew Dale Reineke in 2001.

    He is survived by his mother Ottilia Tillie? Reineke of Carroll; four brothers: Ronald Reineke and wife Mary of Plattsmouth, NE; Richard Reineke and wife Mary of Springfield, NE; Raymond Reineke and wife Janice of Council Bluffs, IA; and Russell Reineke and wife Jackie of Carroll; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
