Theodore E. Ted?, son of Kenneth and Shirley (Espenhover) Vogl was born on November 9, 1970 in Carroll, Iowa. He attended Carroll High School where he wrestled and played basketball and baseball. After he graduated 1989 he began working at Jerrys Standard in Carroll.
Ted later worked for Plastics in Carroll and for Koster Grain and Feed. Ted also worked several years in lawn and yard care. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and fishing with his father, helping his mom with daycare and watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs. Ted was a member of Holy Spirit Church.
In September 2005, he was diagnosed with cancer and courageously battled the disease. In August 2009, the conditioned worsened and on September 4, 2009, Ted died at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll at the age of 38.
Ted was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Helen Espenhover and George Vogl.
He is survived by his parents; brothers Tim Vogl of Carroll; Tom Vogl of Carroll and Troy Vogl and wife Meaghn of West Des Moines; Grandmother Catherine Vogl of Carroll; nephew Shane Vogl of Storm Lake; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
