"John and Family, thinking of you in this time of sorrow and wishing you strength and peace."
James Lee, son of Herbert and Maxine (Koch) Namanny, was born August 29, 1946 at Carroll, Iowa. The family lived in the Vail and Westside area, and then later moved to Glidden where Jim graduated from high school. Following school Jim began a 28-year career with Garst & Thomas Company in Coon Rapids. On January 16, 1965, Jim was united in marriage with Bonita "Pete" Hart at the First United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids. The family made their home in Coon Rapids where Jim kept livestock and farmed in addition to his full-time job. After retiring from Garst & Thomas, Jim worked trucking for Midwest Transit and local farmers for several years. His health forced him to slow down the last couple of years; however he was always thinking and full of ideas and dreams. Jim enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with his friends. He will be remembered as a very giving and loving man who looked out for others. Beginning in July of 2010 Jim dealt with a knee injury and cancer diagnosis and treatment. He died suddenly and unexpectedly early Saturday, April 2, 2011, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. He was 64 years, 7 months and 4 days of age.
