Gene Earl Rostermundt
July 18, 1937 - October 8, 2013

Gene was born in Manning, Iowa. He grew up in Manning and Phoenix, Arizona. He returned to Des Moines, Iowa for college and medical school, earning his medical degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. Internship and private practice brought him back to Phoenix. Soon after he joined the United States Air Force and served as a flight surgeon, retiring as a colonel. He spent the rest of his career practicing emergency medicine. Later in life, he was reunited and married his long time sweetheart, Billie. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including his grandchildren, Vaughn and Shea. Survivors include his wife Billie Rostermundt, 1630 Sarazen Ct. Nipomo, CA 9344 and his son Shane (Chris) Rostermundt, 393 Rodeo Dr. Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 and two grandchildren. A party celebrating his life will be held at his son's home, Saturday, October 26, 2013 1:00 PM - 05:00 PM.
