**** Memorial donations may be made in Mary Ann's memory to Kuemper Catholic Schools **** Mary Ann, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Berens) Menke, was born on July 11, 1930, at Bancroft, IA. She graduated from St. John's High School. On December 27, 1952, Mary Ann was united in marriage with Norman J. Gradoville by Monsignor Graham in Omaha, NE. Nine children were born to this union and Mary Ann was a busy homemaker. The family settled in Carroll, IA, where her husband was a dentist for 34 years. Mary Ann was an active member of the Holy Spirit Church and women's guild, as well as an active volunteer and supporter of Kuemper Catholic Schools. She loved any time she could spend with her grandchildren through the years. Mary Ann also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, reading, needlepoint and cross stitch. When her health began to fail Mary Ann moved to the St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll. She died there on Friday morning, April 24, 2015, at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 13 days. Preceding Mary Ann in death are her husband, Dr. Norman J. Gradoville in 1988; parents; grandson Chris Mosier; and siblings: Inez Amdor, Francis Menke, Tommy Menke, Gerald Menke and Eddie Menke. She is survived by nine children: Susan Gradoville, Chandler, AZ; Tom Gradoville, Litchfield Park, AZ; Michelle Mosier (Dusty), Chandler, AZ; Linda Frank (David), Carroll; Tim Gradoville, Cedar Rapids; John Gradoville (Kay), Carroll; Pat Gradoville (Kristy), Palos Verdes Estates, CA; Steve Gradoville (Sue), Boone; and Chuck Gradoville (Anji), Omaha; 20 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
