In loving memory of

Claudia Knueven
August 21, 1924 - July 21, 2015

Claudia Beatrice, daughter of Fred and Ella (Friedrichsen) Stewart, was born August 21, 1924 at her parent's home southeast of Gray, Iowa. She attended Cameron Center Country School through eighth grade and graduated from Audubon High School in 1941 with a teacher's certificate following her Normal Training. She taught at Cameron #6 rural school. On September 16, 1943 Claudia and Frank Knueven were married at the Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. Two children were born to this union. Patrick was born August 12, 1945 and Patricia was born August 12, 1946. Frank and Claudia lived on a farm in Audubon until they moved back to the family farm where Frank was born near Templeton. They later bought the farm and lived there until moving to Coon Rapids in 2004. On the farm she always had a big garden, a lot of chickens and enjoyed yard work, sewing, and baking. She and Frank both enjoyed working on the many crafts and pieces of furniture they made and going to craft sales. They also enjoyed fishing and traveling, visiting every state in the United States except a few New England states. Going to their families school events was first in their priorities. After her children were in Junior High, she worked in Manning and Templeton for nearly twenty years. After the death of her husband in 2008, Claudia remained in their home until she suffered a fall and entered Thomas Rest Haven Nursing home in 2013. She died there on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 90 years and 11 months. "I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Consider Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time."
