David Adam, son of Nick and Charlotte (Campbell) Thorn was born December 1, 1970 in Carroll, Iowa. He graduated from Coon Rapids-Bayard High School with the class of 1989. After school David held various jobs in the mechanical field as he was well known for his knowledge of cars. He worked at Napa in Coon Rapids for many years. David moved to Carroll and became employed at Sears for the last twelve years. He was known as the "Sears Guy" as he excelled with knowledge of every item sold by the company.
David enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family, especially poker and going to the casino. He was also a good cook. David’s friends often mention that he could make anyone smile and that he was a great friend. He loved to be around family and his nieces and nephews. David would often attend service at the First Assembly of God in Carroll.
He dealt with multiple health issues related to diabetes. On Monday, September 5, 2016 David died at his home in Carroll at the age of 45 years, 9 months and 4 days.
Preceding him in death are his father Nick Thorn, paternal grandfather Howard Thorn, paternal grandmother June Thorn, maternal grandfather Art Campbell and maternal grandmother Betty Campbell.
Left to cherish his life is his mother Charlotte Thorn; siblings Todd Thorn and wife Jennifer of Panora; Tammy Rebhuhn of Des Moines and Tanya and husband Jimmy Wanser of Carroll; nephews Jeromie, Nicholas, Tanner, Gage and Brandon; nieces Mercedes, Shannesy, Xzavia and Ava; Uncles and Aunts Ron and Diane Buchman of Coon Rapids, Jim and Ginger Thorn of Manning, John and Linda Campbell of Wichita, KS, Al and Sandi Campbell of Sac City and Bob Campbell of Sac City; many other relatives and friends.
