Glenna B. Murray, age 80, of Vernal, Utah passed away May 12, 2017 at the Beehive Home in Vernal, Utah. She was born September 19, 1936 in Roosevelt, Utah to Lewis Clarence and Caroline Hill Betts, She graduated from Union High School in 1955. Glenna married Floyd Paul Murray on April 5, 1957 in Roosevelt, UT. They resided in Vernal, where they started their family. She was a mother and a home maker until Floyd passed away on July 31, 1992. After Floyd passed away she started working for Uintah School District, where she loved working with her friends. Mom loved to dance and never missed a Friday night at the Golden Age Center. She loved watching the Jazz and embroidering in her spare time. She is survived by her daughters Paula (Rick) Martinsen, Sherie (Jeffrey) Norton and son Thumper (Ann) Murray all of Vernal, Utah. 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Brothers Leonard (Joyce) Betts of Salt Lake City, Kenneth (Sylvia) Betts, of Eureka, CA, and sister Clara Huxford of Roosevelt; Sister in Laws Geneva Massey, Naon Hemstreet, Rhea Brimhall, Janet Fitts, Carol McClellan, and Lorna Oaks. She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Paul Murray, her parents Lewis and Carrie Betts, her father and mother in law Paul and Ada Murray, siblings Glenn Betts, Ellen Milligan, Ray Betts, Dean Betts, Lucille Haws, Ralph Betts, and Fern Milligan. Brother and Sister in law Lynn R. Murray and Nona Farr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 11AM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West). A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home and Wednesday 9:45~10:45AM.
