Heidi Hollinger GardnerJune 29, 1939 - April 25, 2017God called our beautiful Wife, Mutti, Oma, German Oma home on April 25, 2017. She came to Vernal, Utah in 1961, after meeting her husband Don Gardner in Waldfischbach, Germany, where she was born.After coming to the United States there were many influential people that came into her life teaching her English and helping her get her U.S. Citizenship. Diligently learning the Constitution and Presidents, and all that entails receiving citizenship.She was a vibrant, magnificent woman, who impacted the lives of many. Most people would have known her by her classy style, with her matching purse and high heel shoes, cruising around in her Elvis car.Through her artwork she painted, made carousel horses, milk cans, and always created beautiful custom pieces for her family and friends. Through her niche for interior design her homes were spectacular and works of art in and of themselves. Her other many talents include, karate, square dancing, bowling team, skiing, yoga, and belly dancing. She knew how to throw a party and always brought friends and family together. She was best known for her beautifully knitted slippers that she gave to everyone she met.Heidi is preceded in death by her parents Friedrich and Maria Hollinger, sisters Giesla Blish, Susie Wagner and Ruth Gampfer and grandson Friedrick Don Richardson.She is survived by her loving husband Don Gardner, sisters Else Freyer and Ursula Hartensien, daughters Marie Heidi Cross, Elona Porter, Erika (Ryan) Erickson and April (Andy) Wooldridge, 13 gandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.A private service was held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
