Penelope Sue Banwart
March 25, 1948 - October 15, 2020

Penelope Sue Banwart, daughter of Phillip and Alice Banwart, was born March 25, 1948 in Elgin, IL. The family moved to Phoenix, AZ when she was 7 years old where she grew up and graduated from Sunnyslope High School, Class of 1966. After high school, she wanted to be a PE Teacher and went to ASU for a short time. She married Tom Holly and Angie Holly was born in 1969. Penny worked for Motorola then started at AT&T where she worked for over 28 years before it was broken up by the Government. Her favorite job was working at the America West Arena where she was able to watch her favorite basketball team play, the Phoenix Suns. She worked her fun job for 27 years before going out on medical leave. Penny loved all things sports and was a diehard Cowboys fan. She also loved going to Disneyland with her daughter and grand kids, Stevie, Jessica, and Morgan. They were planning a trip next year so she could share her love of Disneyland with her great grandson Levi. Penny passed away on October 15, 2020 at Abrazo Health in Phoenix, AZ. There will be a Gathering at Hansen's Mortuary, (8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ 85020), on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 10 - noon to celebrate Penny's life.
