KENNETH E. LaCOSSE
November 25, 1928 - October 4, 2020

Kenneth E. LaCosse, 91, of Gwinn, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the Trillium Hospice House under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice and surrounded by his family.

Ken was born on November 25, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Vern and Doreena (Oulette) LaCosse.

Ken married the former Alice L. Galske on April 30, 1955 and had a long and loving marriage of 65 years and both were blessed with six children.

Ken served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 until 1951 and then began employment with CCI in 1951 in Ishpeming, MI. He retired in 1992 as chief operator of the AuTrain Falls Hydroelectric Plant. Kenneth was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was an avid fisherman and hunter. He held 2nd place in the Upper Peninsula for Archery League. Ken also enjoyed bowling and traveling.

Ken is survived by his wife, Alice LaCosse; children, Debbie (Dan) LeVeque, Doreen (Joe) Sidlauskas, Diana (Mike) Bonneau, Carrie (Gary) Zinda, Kim (Dale) Novak and Brian LaCosse; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Judy Denofre. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ellsworth and Bernie LaCosse, and sister, Donna Rintala.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gwinn with Rev. Allen Mott presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ken's name to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 280 N. Boulder Street, Gwinn, MI 49841.
