James Donald "Jimmy" Dixon, age 82, of Cumming, GA., passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family, church family at Cumming Second Baptist Church where he was a member, and all of his friends at Captain Ds.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha Elzey Dixon; children, Donnie (Donna) Dixon of Gainesville, David (Vickie) Dixon of Clermont, Danny (Lynn) Dixon of Cleveland, Rhonda (Matt) Howard of Cumming, Cory (Liz) Walls of Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Warren (Mary) Dixon of Gay, GA., sisters and brother in law, Myrtis Grubbs of Augusta, Jamie (Mike) Beckman of Augusta; brothers and sisters in law, Ruby Coleman, Kathryn Elzey, Melvin (Anita) Elzey all of Cumming; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sam Rickett, Rev. Stephen Davis, Rev. Jason Hamby officiating. Interment in Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm and Tuesday from 9am until time of service at Ingram Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cumming Second Baptist Church in care of Eric Kimbarl 1880 Dr. Bramblett Road Cumming, GA. 30028.
Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
