In loving memory of

Earnest Michael Chapman
February 26, 1970 - September 12, 2020

Earnest Michael Chapman (who was affectionately known as Michael), was born on the cool morning of February 26, 1970. Michael's demeanor was like this entrance into the world: cool and smooth. He had a way with his words and was a very effective and persuasive communicator.

Michael followed in his father's footsteps by excelling in his youth in the sports of football and baseball. If the object of those games were to win, that is exactly where Michael set his sights. He would always strive to be the best on the field.
Michael completed his formal education at American High School in Fremont, California, and later attended Chabot College in Hayward, California where he also played football.

Michael was exposed to the Catholic faith by his mother Wanda Davis. He completed the sacraments of the church while attending Christ the King Catholic Church. He participated in the youth choir, the CCE (Continuing Catholic Education), and volunteered his services whenever he was needed for the ongoing ministry. He was also deeply committed to God and adamant in educating his children about his faith.

Michael answered the call of God our Father; to join the others waiting for that great day when God will resurrect His church, and where he will be with Him forever. Michael was preceded in death by his father Michael Chapman, his maternal grandmother Juanita Davis "Gammy," and his cousin William Robinson, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are: his daughter Ariana Chapman (Valerie); his mother Wanda Davis; his brother Tracye Smith (Neicole); other siblings; his uncles: Arthur Bowie (Vanessa) and Melvin Davis; aunt Juanita "Penny;" nieces: Yasmine and Emmery; nephew Jaden; along with many cousins, family members, and friends bearing the message of love, hope and blessings.
