Judy Charlene Hilling, 60 of Morgantown, went home to be with her lord, Friday, September 18, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 11, 1960, a daughter of the late Donald Hilling and Wilma Dalton Hilling Forquer. Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She loved her grandchildren and children with everything she had. She fought a long courageous battle to be with them for as long as she could.
A beautiful heart, fun-loving spirit, and a brilliant cook, her home was always open for family and friends to gather. She will be missed dearly and remembered by all. Judy loved her flower beds and gardening. She was an avid crafter and cook.
She had the Sawmill Grill on the Kingwood Pike in the early 2000's and was best known for her bright cheerful smile and home cooked meals. She was most recently employed by the Monongalia County BOE as a Cook at Morgantown High until her illness would no longer allow.
Judy is survived by her husband, Noah Protzman; son, Noah II & Candace Protzman; daughter, Brittany Protzman & her pride and joy grandchildren, Emma, Noah III, Rilyn & Camden; siblings Sam Hilling, Pork Hilling (Suz), Debbie Ridgway, Jim Hilling (Lisa), Brad Hilling (Kim), & Rick Hilling (Tina); many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by a special niece and friend, Jennifer Protzman.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to family friend Erica Bolen. We appreciate you always being by her side.
Friends may join the family to honor Judy's life and legacy at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summer School Rd., Morgantown on Monday, September 21st from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service on Tuesday, September 22nd at 2:00 PM in the church with Pastor Donna Dalton and Rev. Ray Frankhouser co-officiating. Following the service, Judy will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
