Arthur Keith Meador
April 12, 1935 - September 3, 2020

Arthur Keith Meador of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on Thursday, September 3rd, 2020. He passed away at Brookdale North Scottsdale of acute renal failure.

He was born in Runnells, IA to his parents Paul W. and Mayme Miranda (Lewin) Meador.

He married Nora E. Matheson on April 19th, 1956 and lived in the Des Moines, IA area with his spouse and their 3 children are Brian Stewart and Rhonda.

The family moved to Fridley, MN in the early 1970's and then to the Phoenix, AZ area about 48 years ago.

Arthur or Art worked at the US Post Office in Des Moines, IA and was a member of the Air National Guard in IA for many years. He also was in the Courier industry most of his later working career. After he so called retired, he worked for a time at both Bank One Ballpark that included working for the 2001 World Series between the Diamondbacks and the Yankees and for Safeway Inc.

Keith to his family and friends enjoyed in socializing with his friends from both church and the neighborhood. He enjoyed sports especially football and basketball. In his younger days he played softball and was a runner. He enjoyed both country western books and classical music.

He was an active church member at Community of Christ Church where he held the office of Elder, was the congregational pastor and youth leader. In his spare time, he was a literacy volunteer.

He is survived by his sister, Frances Nadine Losee of Indianola, IA, children, Rhonda Meador of Chandler, AZ, Stewart Meador of Glendale, AZ and Brian Meador of Phoenix, AZ. His grandchildren, Connor McKenna of Phoenix, AZ, Jacob Meador of Pierson, IA, Kristen Meador of Glendale, AZ and his great grandchild Marshall Alan Meador of Pierson, IA.

He was preceded by his daughter, Melissa Meador, mother, Mayme (Lewin) Meador, father, Paul Meador, grandson, Alec Meador and spouse, Nora (Matheson) Meador.
